27 weeks

I am very aware it has been way too long sine I updated my blog! Things have been crazy busy at work, I have been teaching the ABO prep course, and all of the baby stuff of course.

The nursey is almost done, and it looks beautiful thank to all of Colin's hard work, we have also been getting all of our little projects we have been wanting to get done, over with since we know we won't have any time for awhile with the baby and all. The house looks fab with all of the new landscaping, flowers and furniture, I couldn't be happier.

Colin and I started going to birthing classes almost two weeks ago and I think he may be finding them more informative then he expected! Ha Ha Ha.

We are going to be having a 4D sonogram a week from today and I can not wait to see what our little boy looks like!

Baby Froelich is getting so big and still measuring a week or two ahead. I am praying this means he comes a little early (and healthy of course) even though I know it probably wont happen!

I started going to my Dr everytwo weeks this month and everything is going great he says I am even a little boring with my pregnancy going so well (I sure don't mind).

I am getting quite the belly now, but I am loving it, it doesn't hurt that I can still brag that I weigh the same now as I did the day i got married...hmmmm I wonder if my wedding dress would fit! LOL The really nice part is I still weigh over 25 lbs less then I did at my heaviest (which was when I first moved to KC). Not bad for 7 months pregnant! :)

I am very excited I have so much going on this month and next month other having Dr.'s visits every two weeks,Colin and I have two more birthing classes, our 4D sonogram, I am having my baby shower on May 23rd, my mom is coming to town, then my dad is coming to town and then I have my work baby shower! It's all going by so fast I hope I can enjoy everything as much as I would like to.

20 Weeks

I know it has been awhile. My hormones have been going crazy lately, I am either extremely, happy, sad or mad there is no in between! Ha Ha Ha.
My little boy and I are now at 20 weeks (and 2 days) he really enjoys jumping on my poor bladder. I am kind of sad that it is all half over already. Our little guys little kicks still feel alot like my tummy growling so I still have a hard time believeing he is in there, I still look at all of his sonograms and think "That's really in there?"
The nursery is finally painted (after 8 cans of diffrent colored paint). Colin and I have been looking at cribs and furnitue again, there are always new sets coming out and I don't want to miss out on something I love.
Colin has started working nights which is very hard for me, I cried for about 2 hours the first night I was home alone, I am greatful for all my wonderful friends and neighbors they have all been been very supportive. I still miss my husband though!
I have been trying all night to load pictures of the nursery, but it is not working, maybe next blog! :)

It's a......

I woke up Thursday the 25th, all nervous about the sonogram and if the baby would "show the goods". Colin didn't have to work but he got up before I did he looked at me all upset and said "I can't go back to sleep I'm too excited"! I laughed a little and told him to go and start buying somethings we needed for the nursery, to keep him busy. I had to work a couple hours which of course drug on, and on. Colin got to the Dr.'s office before I did. I was so worried about the baby not moving enough for us to see the sex so I may have cheated a little bit I bought a little bit of diet coke (yes with caffine, and a ton of ice) and drank it right before I went into the Dr.'s office so the baby would move more...lol It worked the baby wouldn' stop moving! lol........It's a boy! He is already loved so much, by his daddy and myself! He was so adorable moving around at the sonogram. We counted all the fingers and toes again (well I did). I may have cheated a little bit I looked at othe peoples sonogram pics saying if it was a boy or girl so as soon as the tech put "him" up on the screen I knew it was a boy, but I was in complete shock and didn't say anything, and then the tech said "it's a boy" and Colin started grinning from ear to ear!
We are still trying to figure out names and all, but I think we may have narrowed it down, but we are kind of keeping it a secret for now. :)
Colin started working on the nursery as soon as we found out, it is looking great, I am patiently waiting untill it gets done, so I can start the decor! I will post pics once we get closer to getting done.

17 weeks

I am now 17 weeks and 2 days.
I had my Dr.'s appt. yesterday, things went great baby is doing very well. We get to find out the sex of the baby next week! That's right I said next week, we are going in Thursday the 25th! I am so excited and scared all at once, I think when we know the gender it will all be a little bit more "real". Things are going so well for Colin and I, we couldn't ask for anything more.
Colin as always is very sweet and understanding and I don't think he could ever say "No" to me. Ha Ha Ha All I have to say is if he is this way for me if we have a little girl, she will be so spoiled by him and a big time daddy's girl! :)
We finally got our new mattress which feels great on my back! We got our new dining room table, chairs, and our new stove, my house now feels complete and ready for baby! (Well except babys room!)
I can't wait until next weekend when we can paint the babys room and get the furniture and get it all set up!
Hopefully if baby wants to coopeate my next post will, be all about the babys gender!

16 Weeks

I have almost finished 15 weeks! Colin and I are very happy my belly is finally showing enough that I look pregnant, I am so proud of my belly. :) I never thought I would be one of those women who love being pregnant, but I am! I am enjoying every moment. :)
Colin has been just fantastic to me, I can't believe he rubs my back every night, bakes, and cooks for me all the time. I am such a lucky wife!
I can't believe the things that happen when you are pregnant, I mean you read about them and think oh they can't be that bad but they are! I have become so forgetful and such a clutz I can't even believe it! Colin always tells me "it's okay, you are losing brain cells". :)
I will be posting some pictures of the new nursery furniture, bedding, and colors soon!

Busy, busy, busy

Well Colin and I have been so busy this last week. Baby and I are now done with 15 weeks today, which means I am at the the start of my 16th week and 4 months! It is exciting only 5 more weeks until we can find out the sex of the baby! Once we know the sex I can pick out the crib bedding (which I already have narrowed down). We offically have the nursery room all cleaned out and ready to go, we have come to an agreement on the decor for the walls for the baby's room and on the furniture. I think we will order the furniture and start painting the room after the next Dr.'s appt. Colin was so sweet last week he offered to make a large toy chest for the nursery and even put together kind of a plan for the design, I can' t wait until he starts on it, I hope it's soon.
I have decided I am so spoiled Colin rubs my tummy and my back everynight before bed, but I think he may be getting some pregnancy symptoms too! He has been having odd cravings at weird times, a couple nights ago he made a homemade chocolate cake with homemade icing! Yummy!
I am getting quite the belly now, I have gained another two pounds, the nice thing is it's only in my belly all my jeans still fit (as long as I don't zip them!) The girls at work have already started talking to the baby and touching my little belly it is so cute!

Kick!

I got to feel the baby kick for the first time last night it was so awesome and I was so excited, although I feel kind of bad Colin can't feel the baby yet. That just means we will have yet another awesome day some where down the line when Colin can feel the baby too.
When I came home today Colin had finished moving rooms to get the nursery ready...he changed his mind and put the nursery in the room I had originally wanted (I didn't even ask him to!) he has decided now that that room would work better. Ha Ha ha. Now that the room is all cleared out I can't wait to get our furniture to put in there, I would feel much more prepared then!
I am still only at about 4 lbs that I have gained which is not bad for 3 1/2 months already. All 4 lbs are all just on my baby bump so all my jeans still fit except I can't button or zip them, I had to buy my first pair of maternity jeans just to be comfortable so my zipper doesn't doesn't dig in.
I am still waiting very impatiently for my Dr.'s appt. so we can find out if it's a boy or a girl!

Baby names, baby names, baby names!!

Well as you can tell by the title of this blog Colin and I have been making lists like crazy to try and narrow down boy's and girl's names. I think we have a couple of favorites, now the waiting game to see if i's a boy or a girl!
I have been sick with the flu for the past two days. It is hard geing better while pregnant since you are so limited on medications, but Colin being the sweet man he is went the the store and bought EVERYTHING on the list of approved medications just so I would have whetever helped. I am hoping to feel better soon.
Colin and I read "What to expect when you're expecting" and when he read the part about how second hand smoke, even just in your clothing, affects the baby in and out of the womb, he went and bought the nicotine patches the same day. He only smoked outside and never when I was around, but I am so proud of him for caring so much to quit!
Still waiting for this baby to kick or something, I can't wait to feel our baby and for Colin to feel it too!

Fun!

Nothing too exciting lately as far as the baby goes, I have not been able to feel the baby yet, but I know it will start soon! My belly has kind of "popped", I can no longer button my jeans I am so happy for the the belly sleeve I bought that helps so I can still wear my cute jeans even if they do not button (hey I am just so proud that the 4 lbs I have gained is all baby belly and no where else so jeans even fit over my butt)!
Colin and I have narrowed down all of the baby bedding we would like (one for a boy and one for a girl). We have also picked out the travel system, pack n' play, and baby monitor. We narrowed down the nursery furniture to two diffrent ones (one is traditional and one contemporary). We seem to be well on our way!
Colin and I went to the book store today and bought "What to expect when you're expecting" and a baby name book (to help him with his list). We have been super busy, but it feels so good to be so productive! We are eargrly awaiting our February Dr.'s appt. so we can hear the heartbeat again possibly and we can set up our sonogram to find out if we are haing a boy or a girl, I am hoping to make that appt. at the end of February or begining of March!

Heartbeat

Colin and I went to the Dr. today to hear the babys heartbeat, it was still very stong at about 152. We couldn't be happier. While waiting for the Dr. Colin tried his hand at reading kids books to me, he did awesome except for a cuss word her and there! ;)
We took our friends who live acroos the street and are also expecting to dinner and had a very good time.
I went to "Motherhood Maternity" for the first time today to look a the cute clothes I hope to buy soon. Colin and I also could not help, but stop by the "Baby Gap" and "Things Remembered" just to look around at cute baby clothes and keepsakes. :)
I have to admit I am kind of sad my next Dr.'s appt is not until Feb. 19th (I only have to be seen once a month) I really enjoy hearing the babys heartbeat and seeing the sonograms to know everything is alright! I am sure everything will be fine, I have just always been such a worry wart. And I am sure I will be feeling the baby soon! On to more back aches and other fun prgnancy things!

Back to work

I wish I didn't have to work, my back had started hurting yesterday and been so bad ever since. I wonder what I will have to bribe Colin with to get a backrub? :)
I finally have my cute little baby bump!, I woke up yesterday morning and though what the heck am I laying on that is so hard? Turns out it was my baby bump that had grown and gotten hard overnight! While cute, it will be alot cuter when it gets a little bigger.
Colin and I have decided to take a little time for us next week so Colin took vacation for the whole week and I took a couple days off, we don't know what we are doing yet, but as long as I get to spend time with him I will be happy!
I am so excited to go back to the Dr. on Thursday and hear the baby's heartbeat again.
I wish I had more to blog about today maybe later this week.

Nesting already?

Okay so I think my husband might be to the nesting stage already! I had to work yesterday, and when I got home Colin had moved his entire home office to some extra room in the basement and set it up, he decided the room where his home office was needs to be the nursery because the other room we have availible has two walls that are "outside" walls so it would be too cold. Aww, he is always thinking about what's best for the baby.
I am so excited we have been waiting for 4 months for a bonus that my hubby was offered (just for being so wonderful at his job), and it has finally gone through! Between that and our tax refund I can stay home for the full 12 weeks I am allowed to take off of work, pay our bills, the hospital bills and get everything the baby will need or want! What a relief...
I did already start looking at nursery furniture and I think I found what I want I am so excited, now if I could just find out the sex of this baby I can pick the decor! I am getting impatient already I don't even want to know what the next couple months will bring. :)

12 Weeks!

I am offically 12 weeks today! I had to go out for the first time to buy longer shirts, I am at that odd in between stage, where people aren't sure if you are pregnant or just fat! So I decided a couple longer and a little bit baggier shirts would be good for a couple more weeks until I get an actual baby bump.
Work has been good except I get tired and stressed so easily. I guess all I can do it take it one day at a time.
Once again Colin is such a sweetheart, he decided last night since some of our pots have some scratches on them if any of the "non-stick" coating came off it wouldn't be healthy for the baby so we went out tonigh to buy new pots and pans! While we were shopping for pot and pans, Colin saw a cute set of onesies that was gender neutral so of course we had to buy them!
I am super excited our neighbor has offered to watch our baby after I go back to work (we of course will pay her, we agreeded on what we can afford), it will be so nice to have someone I trust to watch our baby and have our baby just 20 feet across the street, it will save some time in the mornings too!

Feeling better!

Well things are looking up, I am geting over the "withdrawls" from caffine, since I gave up all caffine over a month ago (along with cigarettes and alcohol of course!). Any small amounts of morning sickness I had seem to be mostly gone (whoo hoo). I still have some dizziness every now and then. Now my only fallback is I am hungry all the time. I am finding it very difficult to not devour the two boxes of girl scout cookies that were dropped off today! I actually felt well enough to come home after work and do the dishes, bills, and get all the trash together for trash day! I always feels good to be productive.
I have now gained about 3lbs, but someone forgot to inform my pants because they are fitting like I gained 10lbs.! I am starting to get a little baby bump, but it is only at the point that most people will just think I put on a couple pounds instead of me being pregnant, so I think I will keep it hidden just a bit longer. :)
My prenantal vitamins are working great for me and the baby! My nails are getting so long, I think I need to go get a manicure just to pamper myself.
I can't wait until the 21st when Colin and I go back to the Dr. and hear the baby's heartbeat again it's always so exciting!

Tired!

I have decided I should explain the whole Jelly Bean title and the baby not being a jelly bean on facebook. Colin and I had decided about two weeks ago that the baby's nickname would be jellybean, due to the fact at our first sonogram we expected the baby to only be about 8 and a half weeks and only look like a jelly bean, well when we had the sonogram done and saw the baby on the screen with all of it's fingers and toes Colin commented saying..."that's not a jelly bean" thus the baby is no longer called jelly bean, but it makes for a great story to tell the baby when he/she gets older.
I had to work yesterday morning and came home to such a treat from Colin, the house was spotless! The dishes were done, floors cleaned, everything picked up! I was so nice to come home on a weekend day and not have to clean before I got to tired to do it myself. I just can't brag enough about Colin I am so lucky! Last night we were up late because we went to our first Kansas City hockey game with our neighbors, it was a blast (I loved that I could get BBQ from Zarda's there instead of just the normal hotdogs, yummy). I had a hard time falling asleep due to the fact my insides felt like were being streached out like pizza dough. I finally got to sleep around 2am and then woke up at around 7 or 8am needing to use the bathroom. I have been waking up about 4 to 5 hours after I fall asleep needing to use the bathroom for about 4 or 5 weeks now and I am about over it!
For today Colin and I are going to be cooking I am super excited, I love cooking! Not to mention Colin had the wonderful idea of making sure we cook alot today and freeze it so when I come home from a long day of work, I don't have to stay on my feet and cook! Did I mention how lucky I am! :)

Surprise!!

Well today was the day for our first sonogram. The baby was moving around, we could count all the fingers and toes, the baby has a very strong heartbeat at about 167 beats per minute. In other words it was great! For anyone who knows alot about pregnancy you are probably asking wait a minute if you are only 8 weeks and a couple days how could you see all the fingers and toes? Well...surprise we are 11weeks and 1 day (at least thats what the baby measures at)!! Colin and I couldn't be more happy! Colin was so cute today he kind of laminated his picture from the sonogram and carried it with him everywhere showing it off! I of course brought mine to work to showed pictures to anyone and everyone!
My emotions are are kicking it into high gear again too, I now cry everytime I hear my husbands ringtone on the radio! ... not when he's calling and I hear the ringtone only when I hear it on the radio! Ha Ha Ha
Still lucky with no morning sickness mostly, no baby bump yet either. I am kind of sad my first trimester is almost over already, but excited for what each day will bring. Time to go snuggle with my wonderful husband goodnight to you all!

Our Jelly bean!

Our Jelly bean!: "I am not at all tired today and i think it may have to do with the fact we are having our first sonogram tomorrow! I have been so excited all day it was all I talked about at work.
I found out today a co-worker of mine is 13 weeks pregnant and she is extremely happy to have another pregnant woman to share it all with. I also have a good friend that lives across the street who just happens to be pregnant as well and only about one week ahead of me. I have to say it is kind of a relief to have two other women to go through all this with (escpecially two woman who already have another child). I think it would have been kind of scary to go through everything that happens during pregnancy alone, while I know Colin is very supportive and understanding it is just not the same as having someone to lean on who has already been there!
Tonight I am going to attempt my Tomato, basil, and mushroom pasta I had promised Colin yesterday, but could not follow through with because just the thought of the sauce mad me sick to my tummy.
Good night, pictures tomorrrow! :)"

Our Jelly bean!

Our Jelly bean!: "On December 14th, 2009 Colin and I found out we were going to be parents, we are both very excited. While we were sure it was positive, because of the holidays I could not get into the Dr. to confirm until January 5th, 2010. We had hat first appointment yesterday everything went great. My OB is a very nice man, thats right I said man! I have always been kind of mosest, but I figure I need to get that out of my system as soon as possible, because there is no room in pregnancy for modesty! :) As of today we are about 8 weeks and 4 days along. We have our first sonogram this Friday (kinda by request I was too excited to wait until 12 weeks)!

As for morning sickness and all the 'fun' stuff I have been so lucky this far. My morning sickness can usually be cured by a Ginger Ale! I am always tired and fall asleep by about 9pm (poor Colin). I am hungry ALOT! :) For those of you who know me well, I am doing pretty good with keeping up with my healthy eating habits, I have only gained 2 pounds and the Dr. said it is just water weight for now.

I think that all brings us up to today for the most part... I have found myself being more emotional lately. Colin was very sweet this morning and came into the bathroom while I was putting on my makeup, he put his arms around my belly and then laid his head on my shoulder and looked in the mirror a me and told me how much he loved me (awwwww I know) I was fine while at home, but on my way to work I realized what a lucky woman I am, and cried almost all the way there! It has been a rough evening but I am sitting down wih a ginger ale so all should be well soon."

Our Jelly bean!

Our Jelly bean!: "Where to start...Colin and I dated for 5 or so years before we were married May 26th, 2006. It has has been almost 4 wonderful years! We have slowly but surely started building our life, we bought out first house May of 2007, and what is the next step? The question I have been asked about a million times?... When are you having a baby? Well here is the answer....(drumroll please) We are pregnant! I made this blog/ journal just so I could keep track of my daily happenings and share them with others as I am sure lots of them may be touching, happy, and exciting. I want to share everything with my friends and family so enjoy!"
